The Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planning Institute of Planners are jointly hosting this year’s conference in Whistler, and WCS Engagement + Planning looks forward to welcoming you in many ways!
- If you’ll be at the welcome reception on Wednesday, July 5, 6:30 – 10:00pm at the Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh Lil̓wat7úl Cultural Centre (SLCC), let us know or look for us there!
- If you work on housing initiatives in your community and are interested in connecting with a community of practice on “gentle density,” join us at our informal networking session on Wednesday, July 6th, 5:30-7:00pm, location TBD. There is no formal conference activity planned for that evening. If you’re interested, please email cho[at]whistlercentre.ca for more details.
Other ways to connect with us – WCS Engagement + Planning is hosting two sessions at the conference. These sessions are both full, but hopefully some of you will have already signed up!
- LT-02: Whistler’s e-bike policy presentation and tour on Wednesday, July 5, 1:00 – 5:00pm.
- LT-06: Supporting and Growing Indigenous Tourism in Your Community on Thursday, July 6, 2:00 – 4:30pm, which will include a presentation and tour of the SLCC.
