Whistler Transportation Action Plan

Project Description

The Resort Municipality of Whistler created the Transportation Advisory Group (TAG), whose role is to provide Council with advice and recommendations on transportation related issues and strategies. TAG was tasked with preparing short, medium and long-term transportation action plans, to seek public input, and finalize a complete draft action plan to present to Council.

The Whistler Centre’s role is to provide ongoing support to TAG and the RMOW by designing and facilitating TAG meetings, including assisting with a schedule to meet the required timelines for the development of the plans; preparing the transportation action plans; and designing and facilitating public engagement activities to solicit input into the plans. The short-term action plan (2017) was completed and approved by Council, and TAG is now working on the medium term (2018-2020) and long-term (2020+) action plans.
