The Whistler Centre for Sustainability (WCS) and the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) are launching iShift a year-long Whistler2020 take action challenge that will help accelerate our resort community’s progress toward our shared vision of success and sustainability.”
iShift Business will benefit the bottom line of participating organizations by supporting them to develop, implement and monitor the results of an action plan for sustainability and ongoing business success. Facilitated by the WCS beginning in late November, iShift Business will be delivered through a series of four workshops and speaker events (with applied learning between workshops), followed by one-on-one assistance from WCS staff to implement actions in the business plan.
The Chamber will be participating in iShift Business and we are encouraging our members to participate with us, says Fiona Famulak, President of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce. The program is not only about making Whistler businesses greener, it is another mechanism that will enable local businesses to stay competitive within the global tourism economy.
iShift Business participants can benefit in the following ways:
– Wider and more loyal customer base;
– Reduced operational costs;
– Higher employee satisfaction and productivity;
– Easier staff recruitment and higher retention rates; and
– Improved reputation and brand lift.
